Founded in 1978 by Alejandro Peñas and now led by his son Roman Peñas, Masquelack has retained a strong family identity despite its international expansion. Based in Masquefa, Catalonia, the company now generates nearly 85% of its turnover from exports and has subsidiaries in France, Denmark, Portugal, and Poland, with new locations currently being prepared. Present at the International Timber Trade
Show since 2012, Masquelack sees the event as a true barometer of its growth and international reach. The exhibition also provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships with industry professionals and showcase its customers’ achievements.
This growth is supported by a strong commitment to Research & Development: nearly 20% of the workforce is dedicated to it, with more than €1.8 million invested in developing new technical solutions. Compared with multinational corporations, Masquelack remains a human-sized company, but one that is far more flexible and capable of delivering tailor-made solutions. By the end of 2026, the company will take another major step forward with the expansion of its production facility, which will double its industrial capacity. In an international environment that is sometimes unstable—marked by logistical tensions, fluctuations in raw material costs, and supply chain disruptions—the objective remains unchanged: to guarantee continuity of service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
