Incomac and Nardi bring together 100 years of combined experience under a single brand. Among the most recent developments, mac EVO is a technology that reduces energy costs by 50%.

Italian Drying Group (IDG), based in Montebelluna, Italy, was born from the merger of two iconic brands in wood drying: Incomac, with over 10,000 installations in 95 countries, and Nardi, with 14,000 systems installed in 110 countries since 1974. Two distinct histories, one shared vision: high-performance dryers with controlled energy consumption. The group’s technical and technological support is provided by Incotech Srl, which ensures pre- and after-sales assistance for equipment, with a real-time remote support system across five continents.

A complete range for all needs. IDG covers the entire spectrum of industrial drying: conventional drying systems, which can be powered by a thermal fluid from a biomass boiler or a gas or diesel heating system; condensation systems with heat pumps featuring a high coefficient of performance (COP), powered 100% by electricity; hybrid systems combining heat pumps and conventional systems; and steamers, used for wood treatment prior to drying to achieve specific color tones or to stabilize and release internal stresses. Recently, Italian Drying Group has supplied steaming solutions to the French market for applications on walnut, beech, and softwoods, also used for the artificial reproduction of aged wood. These projects have been carried out using different steaming technologies, including direct gas systems, electric resistance systems, and hot water systems below 110°C, demonstrating the flexibility and adaptability of the solutions offered. The systems are customizable with any type of configuration (front-loading, tunnel-type, or mobile chambers) and can process all types of wood, including pallets up to 4,000 pieces per cycle, food products, tobacco, firewood, and much more. Each system is custom-designed (based on standardized modules) and delivered turnkey.

MAC EVO: the new benchmark in heat pump drying.

Mac EVO is the new generation of Incomac condensation dryers with heat pump technology. Compared to the previous model, four major improvements redefine operational efficiency:

R513A refrigerant gas: 60% reduction in environmental impact and a 20% increase in thermal power output.
“Emerson” scroll compressor: adjustable power, quieter operation, and 15% lower energy consumption compared to the previous semi-hermetic compressor.
“Carel” electronic control: integrated electronic expansion valve, real-time optimization of the refrigeration circuit according to actual operating conditions.
“Ziehl-Abegg” EC fans: equipped with frequency inverters, replacing standard centrifugal fans. Combined with the iDry STOP&GO software, which adapts ventilation and pause/work cycles to real wood conditions, mac EVO enables up to 50% electricity savings for the same cycle duration. An increasingly strategic aspect is fast and certifiable heat treatment of wood, essential for exports in compliance with ISPM 15 standards. In this context, mac EVO, in its special HT version, stands out among IDG solutions for its ability to manage the thermal cycle in a controlled and cost-effective way, ensuring that required parameters are achieved using only electricity, without the use of fossil energy sources.

Last year, IDG committed to a strategic path by becoming a Benefit Company, thereby formalizing its commitment to creating value not only economically, but also environmentally and socially, a commitment that will be reflected in the publication of its second Sustainability Report.
