Bouygues Bâtiment France and Etex, through the Siniat brand, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of construction projects by offering a non-load-bearing timber-frame partition wall. Approved through a favorable ATEx certification from the CSTB, the solution is intended for housing, offices, and schools, and provides performance comparable to traditional systems in terms of acoustics, fire resistance, and safety, while incorporating wood and bio-based insulation materials designed to reduce the carbon impact of construction projects. Industrializable, technically controlled, and supported by a secure implementation framework, this initiative addresses several challenges including regulatory compliance, insurability, performance, and decarbonization. Beyond this first non-load-bearing partition solution, the partnership also aims to pool promotion, training, and construction-site monitoring efforts in order to accelerate its adoption.
